CHRISTMAS GATHERING AT MOCKING BIRD

On 25 December 2016, we celebrated Christmas with our best blogger friends. We planned it like so close to the day until we decided to pick Mocking Bird just the day before. We thought that the place, like the white modern interior gonna suit our white Christmas celebration. And that was right, we really loved the outdoor! Mocking Bird is located at the second floor of Shophaus in Menteng. They claim themselves as the one of most affordable fine dining steak restaurant. What do you think? Well, lets check it out.

HOME BREW - Alam Sutera

Seriously, bulan December ini penuh dengan libur (at least buat gw --> Jeffri). Tapi intensitas kita berdua buat hunting makanan tidak se hectic dan se penuh bulan November kemarin yang Sabtu atau Minggu bisa loncat sana sini 3 - 4 tempat sekaligus. Kebetulan ada satu hari pas kita mau ke Alam Sutera buat lihat2 furniture di toko A** dan I***, jadi kita sekalian mampir ke Homebrew ini. Salah satu cafe / coffee shop yang lagi nge hitz banget di kalangan anak Jakarta dan Tangerang Selatan. Baca selengkapnya buat review kita ya :)

KERATON JAKARTA - Grand Deluxe Room

On 12 December 2016, we decided to stay one night at one of our 'wishlists' places to stay in Jakarta: Keraton. Its a long story to tell why we finally landed at this luxurious hotel. Its certainly not endorsement whatsoever, but our stay here was truely one of the best in Jakarta. From the first time we checked in at the lobby to the last time when we checked out, the service & the hospitality here were beyond our expectation. Let's read our great experience here!

AROMA GELATO - Senayan City

I believe a lot of you who read this have heard or even tried the latest Gelato shop in town: ARoma Gelato. Since ARoma is an original brand from Italy, Jakarta is their first official store in Asia! We actually visited here on 4th December 2016 when they were still soft-launched. We got the previledge to try a few of their flavors from gelato in a cup to their affogato. And those were really good! We even met the kind owers who apparently were there and caught us on our table. They 'interviewed us' about our experience here and what happened? Read more!

Have anyone heard about Poblano Mexican Grill? The latest Mexican Food located at Pacific Place 5th Floor, Jakarta! Well its not really 'Latest' actually because they have been here for 2 years now. We actually rarely visited Mexican Restaurant in Jakarta, not only because the high priced food, but also the number is countable with fingers like where else? Here in Poblano, they serve you healthy popular Mexican food. Its not like a typical huge big restaurant and bar, but its more like a casual dining restaurant. So let's have a look!

Christmas comes early! Suasana Natal sudah terasa dari awal bulan December. Dan kami diundang oleh Tesate untuk mencicipi langsung menu special khusus menyambul hari Natal ini. Acaranya cukup sederhana dengan dekorasi khas Natal, namun kami sangat menikmati semua hidangan plus perbincangan yang panjang dengan sesama teman Food-Bloggers. PLATARAN DHARMAWANGSA - South Jakarta

Gw jatuh hati pada pandangan pertama dengan tempat ini. Nama nya Plataran Dharmawangsa, entah ini tempat sudah lama atau masih baru, karena terus terang belum pernah denger. Dan hari minggu kemarin (5 December 2016) dapet undangan ulang tahun keponakan di sini dan lumayan suprise ketika lihat dekor dalamnya bagus banget untuk tema restoran Indonesia. BOTTEGA RISTORANTE - New Menu Launching

The image above looks dramatic and intense with a little touch of yellowish light on top. Thanks to my latest camera :p But the reason why we came here is to attend the launch of the new menus at Bottega Ristorante. We were here once with our friends for a nice casual hang out and we were quite surprised with the exquisite European style interior. It has not changed ever since but the spark is still there. We tasted 5 main courses and 2 desserts, AND the event was sponsored by Urban Remedy Indonesia.

PGP CAFE & RESTO - Rempoa, Tangerang

Kali ini kita mau review cafe and resto terbaru dibilangan Rempoa, Tangerang. Namanya adalah PGP Cafe. Terus terang kurang paham dengan silsilah nama PGP itu sendiri, yang pasti gak nyangka banget tempatnya kaya bistro2 ala western yang mengingatkan gw pada cafe di Bandung. Lokasinya deket banget dengan jalan utama di Pondok Indah, jadi masih terbilang strategis lokasinya. Yuk baca selengkapnya.

TASTY SINGAPORE x OXONE COOKING DEMO

Hari minggu kemarin (27 November 2016) kita dateng ke acara cooking demo with Chef Eddriantjia yang di sponsori oleh Tasty Singapore dan Oxone. Tasty Singapore ini merupakan sebuah organisasi yang menaungi beberapa merek produk masakan terkemuka di Singapura. Sedangkan Oxone terkenal dengan berbagai peralatan masaknya yang berkualitas. Chef Eddriantjia sendiri sudah malang melintang (duh ileh kaya infotaiment) di dunia kuliner dan di dunia pertelevisian beberapa tahun terakhir. Nah di sini kita akan belajar memasak 3 menu. WARUNK UPNORMAL GROGOL - Grand Opening

Warunk Upnormal buka cabang terbaru ke 28 di Grogol. YEAY FINALLY! Akhirnya ada Warunk Upnormal di deket rumah kita di Jakarta Barat. Mereka baru mulai buka tanggal 18 November 2016 kemarin. Dan kita dapet kesempatan buat menjajal (cieh kaya gadget aja) tempat baru ini tanggal 19 November nya pas hari Sabtu! Mungkin tidak perlu kita perkenalkan lagi ya apa sih Warunk Upnormal soalnya cabang nya aja udah banyak banget di Jakarta! Dan setiap cabang pasti penuh dengan customer soalnya Indomie dan Ropang gak ada matinya :)

THE GROUNDS - Bogor

Guys, kalau kalian pantengin IG kita hari Sabtu, 19 November 2016 kemarin, pasti kalian tau kalau kita adain trip bareng bloggers lain ke Bogor seharian penuh. Kita pergi bareng supaya bisa cobain dan kunjungin beberapa restoran di Bogor sekaligus. Salah satu tujuan kita di Bogor yaitu The Grounds! Ada teman yang bertanya apakah The Grounds ini sama seperti yang di Sydney? Bukan ya guys, ini merek Local :) Hanya kebetulan namanya sama. The Grounds ini terletak di Jalan Pajajaran yaitu jalan utama di kota Bogor yang sangat sibuk dan strategis. Lokasinya juga tidak jauh dari pintu exit tol Bogor. Yuk cek lengkapnya!

KERATON LOUNGE - Special Collaboration

Keraton Lounge is having a special high tea set for the next two weeks until 30 November 2016. They are collaborating with a talented insta baker from Malaysia, Shaun Teo @shaunteocreation. The high tea set consists of three tiers of cakes plus 2 cups (pots) of TWG Tea. Shaun Teo himself showcases his bakery skills by presenting some delicate mini cupcakes, mini tarts, and marble magnum cake pops. All on the third tier (bottom one) of the high tea set, while the first and the second tier are the existing Keraton Lounge's creation. This high tea set costs you IDR 298.000++ and is suitable for two people.

GIOI COOKERY & PLANTERY - Senopati

So we were invited here last October 2016 during their soft opening week. Its an honour for us because we got the chance to be some kind of tasters for the early stage of the restaurant. The servers were very friendly and nice, and they did introduce us specifically about each dish. GIOI (read: Joy) is derived from Vietnamese word which means great (if I'm not mistaken). The theme of the restaurant is basically to grow their own organic plants and to harvest them. They acknowledged that some of the food that they cook comes from the plants that they plant. That sounds really interesting right?

WATERCRESS BALI x REVOLVER ESPRESSO - Table Tasting at Cassis Kitchen

Today 12 November 2016, we had a great brunch at the two-day-only-event called Tasting Table at Cassis Kitchen collaborating between Watercress Bali and Revolver Espresso, both from Bali. Watercress Bali is taking over the kitchen during this special event. Watercress is a Bali based cafe / restaurant, while Revolver Espresso is a famous coffee shop in Bali as well. Cassis Kitchen is hosting this special event for two days, 12 - 13 November 2013 during lunch time 11:00 - 17:00 PM. For this special event, they serve you 2 course meal for only IDR 300.000++/pax.

J.SPARROW'S - Noble House Kuningan

So we actually visited J.Sparrow's Bar & Grill last October 2016 and we tried a few of their signature dishes along with some other food bloggers. J Sparrow's is of the same group as Bluegrass in Epicentrum. It was a fun lunch time and we got the chance to preview 7 - 8 menus from appetizers, main courses to desserts. We both didn't try everything, but we captured some photos for you our readers. Sorry that we can not review these dishes because we only tried like 3-4 menus. Enjoy!

LI FENG at MANDARIN ORIENTAL

Li Feng is a new Chinese Restaurant concept in Mandarin Oriental, Central Jakarta. It is very luxurious and authentic upscale Chinese theme. We've heard and seen a lot about the famous & the signature Black Swam dumpling here and we were so curious to try. We finally made it on 29 October 2016 on a special lunch invitation. So, let's have a look.

MEIRTON FINE DINE - TB Simatupang

The name Meirton Fine Dine sounds like a luxurius fine dining restaurant, but wait! Its actually not. It just simply means a fine casual cafe serving many of the finest food. Meirton is located at 18 Office Park building, TB Simatupang. Despite having little knowledge about this area, its actually easily accessible from jalan Gatot Subroto or Rasuna Said. This cafe has been opening ever since the building started operating a year ago. What makes it special? Let's have a look.

Guys, gw mau cerita sedikit mengenai penipuan yang hampir terjadi pada gw siang ini, 1 November 2016. Hari ini gw mau menjual kamera mirrorless Fujifilm X-A2 second di situs OLX. Di sana gw cantumin nomor HP yang sekaligus nomor Whatsapp untuk transaksi juga. Nah, siang nya gw terima Whatsapp dari 083178757682 yang berniat membeli kamera gw. Awalnya pembicaraan berjalan normal dengan sedikit nego harga yang menurut gw basa basi supaya meyakinkan. Silakan cek foto pertama di atas untuk permulaannya. Sebelum menceritakan lebih lanjut, gw mau konfirmasi bahwa cerita gw ini bukan untuk menjelek2an pihak Bank Mandiri atau Fasilitas Mandiri E-Cash. Namun lebih kepada tersangka penipuan yang menggunakan fasilitas dari Bank Mandiri.

ATTARINE - Gunawarman

The latest bistro / cafe in Gunawarman, introducing Attarine by Potato Head Group. They are highly inspired by the rich local ingredients and spices from Indonesia, you can tell from how they cook their dishes. The wood fired snapper above is one of their seasonal main courses. It is marinated with secret Attarine's spices and stuffed with lemon, coriander, celery and many more. Despite having just a few main courses, they are also having some seasonal dishes that you can try. So, whenever you come here, you'll probably find a few different dishes.

GAIA BY OSO RISTORANTE - Sunday Brunch

If you ask me what's the best Sunday Brunch in town, well my answer is Keraton. But, if you are specific to the best Southern Italian brunch buffet, let me tell you this is GAIA Ristorante at The Plaza! No doubt there's no such competition as long as my knowledge. I've been to many 5 stars buffet (hotels) but none quite like this. Two points about GAIA are dining with a view and fresh quality seafood.

MOUTON SLICE & GRILL - Kebayoran Baru

First of all, congratulation for the opening of the third branch of Mouton Slice & Grill at Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. We got the chance to visit here last week (October 20) for a dinner and it was totally a pleasure to be here. Why? Because they incorporate western style barbeque with asian / indonesian somes perfect sauces for the dipping. Let's check out our experience here.

GALETA COOKIES - Indonesian Cookies

Paling seneng tuh kalau lagi laper gak ada makanan tapi ada snack. Biasa kalau udah ngemil snack bisa lupa sendiri soalnya sambil edit2 foto, bikin blog, susun kalimat dll ada snack yang temenin gak terasa bisa habis satu kotaknya. Nah yang satu ini aneka cookies dari GALETA COOKIES (@galeta.id) Dari liat gambar di atas aja udah bikin ngiler apalagi ada di depan mata. Siapa yang bisa nahan??? Nastar, Kue Keju, Putri Salju dll!

GYOZA BAR - Central Park

If you guys followed and saw my Snapchat (@jktdelicacy) last weekend, I went to Francis Bakery at Mall Taman Anggrek for a private baking class with a few foodies. I had so much fun baking my own bread. Later after that, I walked to Central Park and had my late lunch here at Gyoza Bar! A newly September opened restaurant by Midtown Group in Tribeka Park. Its a fushion Japanese restaurant serving a lot varities of Japanese food, from Gyoza, Salad, Sushi, Udon, Rice Bowl, and many others.

NEW MENUS at SATE KHAS SENAYAN

Guys, I won't introduce any longer because I believe you are all familiar with this restaurant. YES! Its Sate Khas Senayan. This month, they are introducing three new menus. Sate Khas Senayan is me & Lucy's all time favorite Indonesian restaurant, there's no doubt about it. They keep improving and adding their menus with much more national's local dishes. This time, they add up Asem Asem Sapi, Kerengsengan Sapi, and Semur Sapi.

SHARON BAKERY

Guys, I want to introduce you to this legendary bakery producer Sharon Bakery! They are specializing in ready-to-consume bakery since 1988! All of their breads are using natural yeast to produce a nice classic taste, yet keeping the bread longer to consume. We've got to try 5 different variants here, so let's have a look.

HURRICANE'S GRILL THE BURGER BAR - Noble House

Congratulation for the opening of the second outlet of Hurricane's Grill in Noble House, Lingkar Mega Kuning (Next to Oak Wood). I have been a fan of Hurricane's far before they opened up their first store in Jakarta. Their Pork Ribs is to die for! And to be honest, I have not even visited their Gunawarman branch until I came here for the newly opened second branch. At the same time of the 2nd outlet opening, they also launched The Burger Bar concept which is offering some nice selections of premium gourmet burger. We actually got the chance to witness all of their burgers on the table, so you can have a look at the actual serving before you order on the restaurant :)

OKTOBERFEST AT PAULANER BRAUHAUS - Grand Indonesia

Its OKTOBERFEST at Paulaner Brauhaus, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta! Last Night (October 5th) was such a pleasure for both of us to join this annual event an Paulaner Jakarta! It was our first time at this event actually, so being here and experienced the festivity was an unforgetable moment. Whats best about the event was actually the free flow beer, WOhoo. In fact, you also get to eat their all time favorite Paulaner platter as much as you want, all in just 4 days!
