20 February 2016 was the soft opening night for FAME Jakarta! FAME is a casual hang out place in Menteng (Jalan H. Agus Salim) where 4 food tenants meet in one place. They are Warted Express, Martabak Boss, Sate Sosial & Beer, and Noodle Station. I was so glad being invited for the soft opening night in which I could taste their main tenant 'Warted Express'. They actually have an indoor air-con room and outdoor area. Warteg Express is located inside the indoor area together with the beverage bar.
What I really like about this place is the cozy and casual ambience, great music, and very affordable price at the very strategic location in Central Jakarta. At the time of my arrival, the indoor area was super crowded by the invitations, while the outdoor are was kinda normal just a few customers (but later at 9 PM it was crowded too). The indoor's wall was hilariously painted with some famous celebrities from Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Barack Obama, Paris Hilton and Justin Bieber. Especially that Obama holding some nasi padang :p
WARTEG EXPRESS
This is inspired by a real warteg where you can pick your own dishes whatever you want. They offer you two forms of ala cart serving: Food only or food with rice. The food only is around 2 - 3 times more expensive than the one with rice, probably because of the bigger portion (like sharable). These food were amazingly delicious as I got the chance to try a few menus like the Kentang Hati Pedas, Toseng Kambing, Gulai Kambing, Sate Ayam Paprika, and Ayam Kecap Manis.

SATE SOCIAL & BEER
This tenant is located outside (outdoor area). I tried their Sate Sapi and Sate Kambing with 4 different sauces from Barbeque, Kecap Manis, Sambal Lampung Manis, and Sambal Pedas Asem. Well, Kecap Manis is the best one, still! The Sate Sapi was slightly chewy but they sprinkle some crispy stuff on the meat. Sate Kambing was fine.

The beverage bar is your typical bar with a whole range of beverages from Tea, Milk Tea, Coffee, Beer to Cocktail. But I only tried their Lychee, Strawberry, and Peach Iced Tea.
This is the Mad Rice and Noodle Station I guess. I didn't really pay attention to this tenant as it was outside.
Overall, you'll find a lot of afforable food with a casual dining experience here. Weekend at night here gonna be a super fun night with friends!
