BEAU by Talita Setyadi - Cikajang

Many of you have probably heard or even visited Beau, but for us, it was until 1st January 2017 when we visited their branch for the first time at Cikajang, South Jakarta. It was the first day of 2017 and we randomly picked this place when we saw someone posted it on Instagram. It was unexpectedly beautiful, either the food, the drinks and the interior. We really love the white theme and the green plants around the cafe. They also have another branch at Grand Indonesia actually, but well you can't compare both of them as they are located on two different places and environments. One in an indoor department store (Central) and one in a stand-alone cafe. Let's have a look!

The outdoor area is certainly beautiful, green and very soothing especially when the weather is cool. But when its sunny, the outdoor area is certainly the one to avoid as the heat is overwhelming. Some part of the outdoor is covered with big tall tree, while some is open space area.

INDOOR

Didn't take much from the interior because I didn't intend to write a blog actually. But, the theme inside is white and minimalist.

Iced Latte (40k) - coffee bean here is provided by Common Grounds Coffee Roaster.

Ceufs a la Royale (89k) - prosciutto or beef pastrami, poached egg and hollandaise on thick-cut brioche. Very thick buttery brioche bread with two poached egg hidden under the prosciutto. There's a hint of sour flavor from the hollandaise sauce, but its overall good.

BBQ Chicken Flatbread (75k) - Gruyere, shredded carror and purple cabbage on turkish pide. Not sure if I wrote the right menu here as this was my friend's order.

Chicken Breast Baguette (79k) - Roadster chicken breast, basil pesto and gruyere.

Croque Madame (89k) - Pork Leg Ham or Smoked Beef, gruyere, bechamel and sunny side up egg. This was the one with the best smell despite looking the most humble one. Just when it arrived on our table, we all smelled the distinct beef and cheese of this sandwich. I could totally imagine its salty, buttery, and moist!

PASTRIES

I didn't try any of the pastries but they all certainly looked very tempting.
